About this tool

Whether a before-and-after comparison, two screenshots for a how-to or a holiday photo collage: often several images should be shared as a single file. This tool combines them without any image editing software.

Choose between “Side by side” (all images at the same height), “Stacked” (all at the same width) and “Grid” with any number of columns. In the grid, images are cropped to equally sized cells or fitted in completely. Set spacing and background color yourself, or make the background transparent.

The images are combined in your browser only and not uploaded. To keep the file manageable, the common height, width or grid width is limited to 2000 pixels automatically.

How it works

  1. Drop two or more images into the field.
  2. Choose the layout and, for “Grid”, the number of columns, the cell shape and whether images are cropped.
  3. Change the order with the arrows below the thumbnails and set spacing and background.
  4. Pick the format and click “Download”.

Frequently asked questions

Why do the images end up different sizes?

With “Side by side” all images get the same height, with “Stacked” the same width. A portrait photo is therefore narrower than a landscape one when placed side by side. For equally sized tiles choose “Grid”.

How do I get a transparent background?

Tick “Transparent” and save as PNG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency and always uses the background color.

Are my photos uploaded?

No, everything happens in the browser on your device. The finished collage contains no EXIF metadata from the originals.

Can I shrink the collage afterwards or save it as a PDF?

Yes: the Image Converter & Compressor resizes and compresses the result, and Images to PDF turns several images into a PDF.
